The Imbak Canyon Studies Centre complex involves many separate buildings of varying sizes and with specific functions.  The interrelationship between these buildings provides an opportunity for the architect to establish harmony amongst the various forms.  This has been done by developing a geometrical storyline and relationship from one building to another.  The roof as a most visible element of a buildings, lends itself to number of permutations of geometry whilst maintaining its true function.

Other elements such as windows, door and walls are also integrated within the design form and patterns.  Within the context of its environment, the building reflects its tropical rural heritage in form and material use, whilst addressing user required functions, cost consideration and available construction technologies.
