How is the road condition to Imbak Canyon Conservation Area?
  • By flight from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan airport is about 45 minutes drive; and another 2 hours drive to reach Kg. Imbak or Imbak Canyon KIOSK; thereafter another 1 hour 30 minutes drive to reach Imbak Canyon Studies Centre.
  • By land via Telupid town from Kota Kinabalu is about 4-5 hours drive; and another 1 hour drive to reach Kg. Imbak or Imbak Canyon KIOSK; thereafter another 1 hour 30 minutes drive to reach Imbak Canyon Studies Centre.
Can non-4WD vehicle can be driven there?
  • The road from Kg. Imbak to Imbak Canyon Studies Centre is an unpaved road, therefore is is advisable to use 4WD vehicle.
What time can I check-in to Imbak Canyon?
  • Check-in time starts from 2pm onwards.
