In the centre of Borneo, there is a hidden valley called Imbak Canyon. Located 300 kilometres from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, and is nestled between cliffs of over 1,000 metres high sandstone. This area contains some of the oldest rainforest tracts in the world, some of which are almost 100 million years old, are found in this region. Imbak Canyon Forest, which was designated a Class 1 (Protection) Forest Reserve in 2009, now serves as a vital wildlife corridor connecting Maliau Basin and Danum Valley.
